Rebecca MacMillan is a companion animal vet who has always had a passion for writing and client communication. Since her graduation from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009 she has gained a wealth of experience in first opinion small animal practice, in both clinical and managerial roles. She currently works in the South West and deals with a variety of routine and emergency appointments, but particularly enjoys medicine cases. She has recently gained her postgraduate certificate in small animal medicine!

Outside work, Becky has a young family that keeps her busy! She also enjoys cooking and baking cakes has always been a speciality of hers – she’s even attended cake-decorating classes! She also enjoys watching films, family days out and walking the dog.

Rebecca’s Pets

Becky has a flat-coated retriever called George who still acts like a puppy despite being 12 years old! He’s a big character and greets everyone with lots of licks! She also has a large tropical freshwater fish tank with a variety of fish and shrimps.

“I get a great sense of satisfaction out of writing and it has always been a passion of mine outside of day-to-day veterinary work.”
