Professional Bio
Having ridden her first pony at the age of three, a continued love of horses sparked Jess’ interest in becoming a vet, and she qualified from the Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Jess has worked in equine veterinary practices in Lancashire and North Yorkshire ever since, including undertaking an internship at Rainbow Equine Hospital. She enjoys all aspects of her role in clinical practice, including ambulatory and clinic-based work, and also has a passion for client communication and education, and staff training.
Outside of work Jessica enjoys baking, Italian cuisine and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
Special Interests and Qualifications
Jessica has particular interests in equine medicine, geriatric care, and wound management. She is currently studying towards Advanced Practitioner status.
Jessica’s Pets
Jessica has owned horses for many years growing up, including taking her horse “Socks” to study at university with her. Jess does not currently have any pets but often looks after her parents dogs – “Zoe” a 10 year old homebred flatcoated retriever who she still thinks she is a puppy! and “Rosa” a 4 year old Large Munsterlander.
I love the opportunity to communicate well with any given target audience, and the opportunity to demonstrate attention to detail through writing.
