Beverley Ho

BSc(VetSci)(Hons) BVM&S MRCVS

Professional Bio

Beverley graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in 2020. She also has an intercalated honours degree in Literature and Medicine; she achieved this in 2018 and was the first veterinary student to do so. At present, she works as a small animal vet and enjoys all aspects of general practice, with its mix of consulting and surgery. She has interests in dermatology and internal medicine.

Beverley lives with her partner and three cats in the North East. Outside work as a vet, Beverley enjoys reading literary fiction. She also writes creatively and has one published short story to date. When not immersed in words, she can be found watching films, practising yoga and dabbling in film photography.

Beverley’s Pets

Beverley has three cats – Tilly, Toby and Toulouse. Toby and Toulouse were adopted a few years ago from a shelter while Beverley was in her final year of vet school. Tilly joined the family this year – she was handed in at work alongside three littermates by someone who had found them abandoned in a box.

“By combining writing with my veterinary knowledge, I can reach a wider pet-owning audience with accessible information to help them make informed decisions about their pets. “
